1. Drink more water
A lot of us may not notice how much water we're consuming on a daily basis. In most cases, we’re not drinking enough water even if we think we are. On average we should be drinking up to 8 glasses of water a day. It may be hard to keep track and no one wants to be tallying up their water intake everyday. This will make it much easier to maintain ur goal.
2. Be present
With technology becoming more and more advanced, we often forget that there is a whole world happening beyond the screen of our cell phones. Often times we turn to our phones to cure boredom, though we could be getting so many other things done with all that missed time spent in the digital world. With this one, try starting small, it’s not an easy habit to break. Maybe start with a rule where phones are no longer allowed at the dinner table and slowly incorporate that in your daily life.
3. Save money
Now, saving money may not sound easy, however, it is definitely accomplishable with the right mindset and strategy. Get yourself a piggy bank or better yet open up a savings account. Every paycheque, put a certain amount in and don’t touch it. Once its in, consider it gone. Give yourself a goal on either how much you’d like to save or how much time you want to be saving for. Think about what you wish to do with that money once its yours again. This way you won’t feel like it’s never ending and it gives you motivation to continue saving.
4. Waking up earlier
As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm. It is known that waking up earlier can significantly reduce stress. Not only that, you’ll have a lot more bright hours in the day as well as having the opportunity to witness the beautiful sunrise every morning. Start small and gradually increase over the span of a few weeks. Try setting your alarm back just by 10 minutes every other day for a more realistic approach. By week 3 or 4 you’ll be an early riser!
5. Spend more time with family
Life can get a little hectic and sometimes we don’t think we have time for fun activities as often as we once did. As important as working and making money is, family is one thing that should never be pushed to the side. Next time you’ve got some extra time on your hands, instead of watching Netflix, try playing a board game with the family! You’ll be glad you did.
